There are few things in this world that can set an evening sky ablaze, but a South Carolina sunset happens to be one of them. The summer months bring spectacular sunsets like these that seem to effortlessly fill sky night after night. Deep purples, rich pinks, and vibrant blues slowly take over the horizon in rolling waves, and are gone before you can call someone else outside. On their best nights they bring cars to a stop on the sides of roads and leave people like myself wide eyed. These sunsets never last more than 20-30 minutes and each minute is unique. An entire pallet seems to brush across the sky before fading.

Taken at 9:12pm in Murrells Inlet, SC
